Emerging technology : Robotics

Robots are a big part of new technology .There is a large variety of robots that do a lot of different jobs.

Some of the robots that I will discuss today will be gadgets, robots that help in business and robots that work on helping people.In the robot CES exhibition of 2020 there was a variety of gadgets that were shown, I will share the ones that stood out to me. The Guardian XO is an exoskeleton that help people lift heavy thing so that it does not damage their bodies. This is a really cool idea but I think it is really bulky and it might pose problems in a small space where there is not that much room to move.Another robot that stood out to me was the robot waiter. Although this is a very good idea we also have to think about how ethical it is. This could also be a problem like when robots replaced Factory workers. They were replaced because it is cheaper to buy a robot and not have to pay it hourly wadges. As long as they make sure they do not replace buss-boys at restaurants this is a solid idea.But having ideas like this can be risky because just because you make an idea with a purpose others might take advantage of your product for bad reasons.The THR3 is a robot that can be controlled using Vr , it is very good with tracking and is able to interact with things in real life. This reminds me of the movies where they use human controlled robots to fight wars.Farm wise a robot that helps farmers maintain their farms is a very good
